Mr Gavin Jennings

Mr Gavin Jennings Studied at St. John’s College, Cambridge and St. Mary’s Hospital, London, where he qualified as a doctor in 1995. He undertook his Orthopaedic training in London before embarking on sub-speciality training in shoulder surgery. Was awarded a Fellowship in South Africa under Joe De Beer, one of the world’s leading arthroscopic (keyhole) shoulder surgeons. Subsequently undertook a further Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Athletic Injuries at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver under Professor McCormack (Chief Medical Officer for the Canadian Olympic Team). He was actively involved both in research and the treatment of numerous world class sportsmen during these periods abroad. Took up a Consultant post in Bath in 2007. Presently, he consults at Circle Bath and The BMI Bath clinic. His NHS practice is at the Royal United Hospital and the Royal National Hospital for Rheumatic Diseases, Bath. Specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of the whole spectrum of shoulder problems, but has a particular interest in performing advanced arthroscopic (keyhole) procedures. Regularly teaches other surgeons techniques in shoulder surgery, both nationally and internationally. Gavin's primary concern is obtaining optimal results for his patients, and he places great importance on a team approach to help achieve this aim.
