Mr Gary Hannant

Originally from Suffolk I studied Medicine at Kings College London between 1999 and 2005 and also left with a History of Medicine Degree. I moved to Yorkshire in 2008 and completed my Basic Surgical Training and Orthopaedic Training here. My foot and ankle training has been under Mr Farndon, Mr Sturdee, Mr Wells and Fellowship training with Mr Machin at Midcheshire hospital. I am am Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and a frequent attender to their meetings and educational events. I have been working as a Consultant at Bradford Teaching Hospitals since August 2019. I am a Council Member for the Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association and the Lead for Governance for the Orthopaedic department at Bradford Teaching Hospitals.

I cover all foot and ankle conditions including but not limited to bunions and toe deformities, nerve and tendon problems, toe nails issues, arthritis throughout the foot and ankle, plantar fasciitis and  achilles tendon problems. I am known for my friendly professionalism and clear helpful explanations designed to help patient's understand the cause of their problems and the options available to allow them to make the best choice to meet their requirements. I do offer bilateral surgery for most forefoot surgery.
