Mr Deepu Sethi

Mr Deepu Sethi is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Homerton University Hospital, where he is the lead surgeon for knee and joint replacement surgery. He is one of a few surgeons who operates exclusively on the knee. Mr Sethi has a specialist interest in sports knee injuries, joint preservation surgery and knee replacement surgery. Mr Sethi qualified at University College London Medical School. He then went on to complete his specialist orthopaedic training at Oswestry and Birmingham.To pursue his specialist interest in knee sports injuries Mr Sethi completed specialist fellowship training in Australia. Prior to that he completed specialist fellowship training in the UK focusing on sports injuries and joint replacement surgery. Mr Sethi's interests cover the whole range of knee surgery including arthroscopic anterior and posterior cruciate ligament reconstruction for the unstable knee, repair of a torn meniscus, surgery for patello-femoral problems, through to osteotomy and joint replacement for the worn arthritic knee. Within joint replacement surgery Mr Sethi carries out both partial and total knee replacements. Mr Sethi is also actively involved with research and teaching both nationally and internationally. He collects data on the outcome of his surgery and registers his patients on the National Ligament Registry dedicated to analysing and improving the outcome of cruciate ligament reconstruction.
