GMC reg: 7083382Mr Urriza Rodriguez is a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. Mr Urriza Rodriguez completed medical school training in Devon and Cornwall in 2010, having previously read Chemistry at Oxford University. Mr Urriza Rodriguez undertook surgical training in Basingstoke, Bristol, Southampton, and Oxford. Mr Urriza Rodriguez was appointed as Consultant Vascular Surgeon in the Thames Valley Vascular Network in 2021. Mr Urriza Rodriguez underwent Vascular Surgery training in Bristol, Southampton, and the Thames Valley. He has experience in all aspect of vascular surgery including varicose veins, carotid disease, aortic aneurysms, and peripheral arterial disease. Mr Urriza Rodriguez has sub-specialty interests in varicose veins treatment, carotid artery disease for stroke prevention, management of diabetic foot disease, and lower limb arterial revascularisation. Lower limb arterial revascularisation includes: open surgery (femoro-popliteal bypass, femoro-distal bypass surgery, or femoral endarterectomy); endovascular intervention (angioplasty and/or stenting); and a combination of both open and endovascular treatments. Through his sub-specialty interests Mr Urriza Rodriguez works closely with a number of healthcare professionals across the Thames Valley to provide holistic care for patients. These wide-ranging healthcare professionals include interventional radiologists, cardiologists, neurologists, stroke physicians, diabetologists, orthopaedic surgeons, plastic surgeons, vascular scientists, and podiatrists. Mr Urriza Rodriguez works closely with highly-qualified vascular scientists in order to deliver a one-stop diagnostic service to provide prompt diagnosis and treatment strategies to patients attending clinics at Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital (Oxford), New Foscote Hospital (Banbury), and Royal Buckinghamshire Hospital (Aylesbury). Mr Urriza Rodriguez works with other surgical specialties at Oxford University Hospitals, such as transplant surgeons and spinal surgeons, to provide specialist vascular input into complex multi-disciplinary team operations. Mr Urriza Rodriguez is experienced in treating varicose veins, but does not treat thread veins. Mr Urriza Rodriguez can carry out the full spectrum of interventions for varicose veins. This includes endovenous minimally-invasive therapies, radiofrequency ablation and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy, as well as open surgery. Mr Urriza Rodriguez is willing to provide interventions both under local and general anaesthesia to suit the needs of individual patients. Mr Urriza Rodriguez believes in providing patients with a clear understanding of their condition as well discussing all the available strategies to manage their condition.
