GMC reg: 4036276Mr Lindsey qualified from the University of London in 1993 and completed his general surgical and vascular training in London and southwest England. He then relocated to South Africa, where he undertook a fellowship in trauma and transplant surgery at Groote Schuur Hospital in Cape Town. He practised as a single-handed general surgeon at Eerste River Hospital near Stellenbosch. Upon his return to the UK, Mr Lindsey was awarded a prestigious post CCT fellowship in laparoscopic donor nephrectomy at Guy’s and at Royal Free Hospital, before being appointed for 8 years substantively as the first NHS dual accredited general, vascular and renal transplant surgeon in London at Royal Free Hospital. He now works at The Royal London Hospital, part of Bart’s Health. He has authored several publications in peer-reviewed journals as well as book chapters and is currently involved in research funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. This is to develop a technology that benefits the quality of life of patients on dialysis. Mr Lindsey is also a dedicated teacher and regularly trains surgeons, both in the UK and abroad, in both perioperative care as well as surgery itself.

Mr Benjamin Lindsey is a consultant general, vascular and renal transplant surgeon based in London who specialises in vascular and general surgery as well as kidney transplantation.
