Mr Attila Kovacs

I am a consultant hand and wrist surgeon. I graduated at the Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary and had my specialist training in trauma and orthopaedic surgery in the same country. I worked as a consultant specialist there from 1994. Coming to the UK I have been working as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon in this country since 2009. My current NHS consultant post is at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. I perform above 500 hand and wrist operations a year and I am focusing entirely on treating hand and wrist conditions.

I am focusing on adult elective hand operations within hand surgery. This includes Carpal tunnel syndrome, Cubital tunnel syndrome, Nerve compressions, De Quervain tenosynovitis, triggering fingers, Tendon injuries, Flexor tendon pulley injuries, Dupuytren disease, Ganglions of the wrist and fingers, Finger mucoid cysts, Benign mass formations of the hand, Arthritis of the finger joints, Thumb basal joint arthritis, Wrist arthritis, Malunions of wrist hand or finger fractures, Ulnar sided wrist pain, Wrist instability or clicking, TFCC injuries of the wrist, Scaphoid non-unions and Rheumatoid arthritis related hand conditions.
