Mr Arif Razak

I am a Consultant Hip and Knee Surgeon with a specialist interest in total hip and knee replacements. My clinical practice includes primary, complex, and revision hip replacements, as well as primary knee replacements and knee arthroscopy (keyhole surgery). My private practice is based at The Highfield Hospital in Rochdale, Lancashire and Oaklands Hospital in Salford, while my NHS practice is at North Manchester General Hospital and Fairfield General Hospital in Bury. I hold a BSc in Medical Science from the University of St Andrews and earned my medical degree with honours (MBChB) from the University of Manchester. I pursued my interest in orthopaedics by working with eminent surgeons at various hospitals in Greater Manchester and Lancashire. In 2017, I completed my higher specialist training and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Following this, I undertook a revision hip arthroplasty fellowship at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, gaining valuable experience and skills in complex lower limb replacement surgery. I have a keen interest in surgical training and am actively involved in teaching and training orthopaedic trainees.
