Mr Anil Agarwal

I have been an NHS Consultant Plastic Surgeon since 2008 and currently am in a full-time NHS post at the Royal Preston Hospital. The bulk of my work there includes Hand Surgery, Skin Cancer Surgery and Reconstruction for all parts of the body. I completed a Plastic Surgery training programme at PGI Chandigarh, India, in 1994 followed by a 2-year Hand Fellowship at a renowned Trauma Centre (Ganga Hospital). Armed with sound basic principles but with a view to obtaining outstanding practical results, I decided to train further at the very best Units all over the UK. These included Breast surgery at Manchester, Hand Surgery at Chelmsford and other aspects of Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery at East Grinstead. During this quest for excellence I published extensively, completed the FRCS (Glasgow), the FRCS (Plast) and 2 Diplomas (British and European) in Hand Surgery.

Hand Surgery Skin Surgery My areas of expertise as a Plastic Surgeon are: Hand Surgery (formal sub-specialization) & Skin Surgery. My specialist interests include surgery for Dupuytren's Disease, Carpal & Cubital Tunnel Syndrome, Trigger finger, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteo-arthritis for all areas below the wrist. For Skin Surgery they include Skin Cancers, Lipomas, Sebaceous Cysts and other 'lumps & bumps'. I gave up performing major cosmetic procedures in the private sector from January 2021.
