This information is provided by Mr Amol Chitre.
Amol is currently a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working across Wrightington Hospital and Royal Preston Hospital. He is a specialist in hip and knee surgery. He completed the North West Higher surgical training programme and undertook fellowship training in Complex Hip and Knee Revision Surgery and Pelvic and Acetabular trauma at St Georges Hospital, London. He works within Pelvic and Acetabular tertiary referral unit based at Wrightington Hospital, where most of his elective joint replacement practice is based. He is Major Trauma Lead for the Royal Preston Hospital Major Trauma Centre, and also works with NHS England as a member of the National Peer Review panel for trauma services. In his free time, Amol enjoys sending time with his 3 children and participating in a variety of sports such as skiing, football, rugby and squash.
