Mr Alexander Brent

I graduated from the University of Leicester Medical School with honours in 2009. I successfully completed 7 years of UK specialist Ophthalmology training based in the East Midlands, gaining entry to the Ophthalmology specialist register with the General Medical Council (GMC). I then went on to complete a specialist vitreoretinal fellowship at the University hospitals of Leicester and a further senior vitreoretinal fellowship at the Birmingham & Midlands Eye Centre (BMEC).  I currently have a substantive NHS consultant vitreoretinal post at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.  I carry out private work with Derby private health.  I am also a consultant and partner of Barlborough Newmedica eye clinic where i perform both NHS and private work.   I have presented and published at national and international levels in the areas of retinal and general ophthalmology conditions.
