I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, where I lead and support a high-quality general and specialist urology service. My sub-specialty interests include robotic (Da Vinci) surgery for kidney cancers and complex renal conditions, as well as endourology, with a focus on minimally invasive treatments for urinary stones and prostate problems. I also serve as a core member of the cancer multidisciplinary team, managing patients with prostate and bladder cancers. Alongside these specialist areas, I continue to provide a comprehensive general urology service across the region. I see a wide range of patients with conditions such as urinary tract infections, haematuria, scrotal swellings, kidney cysts, prostate enlargement, kidney obstruction, and urological cancers including those of the kidney, bladder, prostate, and testis. My approach is grounded in personalised, attentive, and evidence-based care, ensuring that each patient feels informed and supported throughout their treatment journey. I take pride in delivering a service that combines advanced surgical expertise with a strong commitment to patient experience. Originally from Leeds, I graduated from the University of Manchester in 2010 and completed my early training across Yorkshire, with international placements in Sydney and Cape Town. I undertook higher specialist training in London, including advanced techniques for benign prostatic enlargement, followed by sub-specialist cancer training at the Royal Marsden Hospital. I was later awarded a Royal College of Surgeons-accredited fellowship in robotic renal surgery, where I performed over 200 kidney operations, including 125 partial nephrectomies in a year—placing me among the highest-volume robotic kidney surgeons nationally that year. In addition to my clinical practice, I remain active in research, education, and clinical training, with multiple publications and international presentations, and I hold lead roles in medical education at my NHS trust.
