Mr Rabie a consultant colorectal and general surgeon specialising in minimally invasive surgery (keyhole surgery). Including the treatment of colorectal cancer and benign conditions such as diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, abdominal pain, and constipation. He is an accredited endoscopist performing diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy. His practice also includes minimally invasive treatment of hernias. Mohamed was privileged to complete two Royal College of Surgeons-accredited fellowships in minimally invasive and robotic techniques for advanced colorectal cancer: the RCSEng MiMICC fellowship at St Mark's Hospital in London, and the RCSEng Robotic Fellowship in Portsmouth. He holds a PhD in colorectal surgery and is a graduate of the King's College Leadership and Management Fellowship and the Chief Resident Program. Mr Rabie is currently a consultant surgeon at University Hospital Southampton and the department lead for clinical effectiveness, driving the development of guidelines and strategic innovation across general surgical services. He is also the regional representative for the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (ASGBI) and a member of the Association of Coloproctologists of Great Britain and Ireland (ACPGBI) Education and Training committee. As a passionate surgical educator, Mohamed structured modular training programs, several simulation-based workshops, and mentorship schemes that empower the next generation of surgeons. His academic portfolio includes over 50 peer-reviewed publications, a book chapter, and international presentations. Mr Rabie was the president of the Dukes' Club and was awarded the ACPGBI Trainee Coloproctologist of the Year 2023.
