I am a Consultant Surgeon specialising in breast disease and am an expert in managing both breast cancer and benign (non cancerous) breast problems. I was appointed as a Consultant at Southmead Hospital in 2012 and have specialised in breast disease since 2009. The patient is always at the centre of the care I provide and I will guide you through every aspect of your journey with me. I am a skilled surgeon, and carry out not only basic breast operations, such as breast lump removal, lymph node surgery and nipple surgery, but also the complex oncoplastic breast surgery needed to provide symmetry following cancer operations, such as breast reconstruction and breast reduction. I am a fully recognised Public Health England Breast screening surgeon. I have carried out over 3,000 breast operations across my NHS and private practice and also have a specialist interest in treating patients with breast pain. As well as this, I run the specialist clinics at Southmead Hospital for patients at high risk of developing breast cancer and can offer this at the Spire hospital. I graduated from Bristol Medical School in 2000, and then undertook specialist surgical training, including a prestigious International fellowship in Australia, before taking up my consultant post. I was Clinical Director for Breast Services across Bristol and North Somerset for several years which I enjoyed. I can see children aged 12 to 18 in my clinic.
