GMC reg: 6095958I am a practising ENT consultant surgeon in Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham and I see patients with ear, nose and throat related problems in adults and children. I graduated from Mumbai University in India in 1999 and completed residency in ENT from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Hospital, one of the busiest trauma units in Mumbai, in 2003. I subsequently acquired further training in adult and paediatric ENT in Manchester and Liverpool, enrolling as a speciality registrar in Health education Northwest deanery. I have worked in busy tertiary and quaternary centres like Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, Alder Hey Children's hospital and Evelina Children's hospital for my Paediatric training. And I have worked in quaternary centres such as Central Manchester University Hospital, Royal Liverpool hospital, Salford Royal hospital and Guys and St Thomas Hospital for training ENT diseases in Adults. I have completed two esteemed UK fellowships specialising in complex ear surgery, hearing implants and lateral skull base surgery in Guys and St Thomas hospital, London, Salford Royal hospital and Richard Ramsden Centre for hearing implants in Manchester. I have over twenty years of experience in ENT. I have completed masters in Health science and practice from university of Central Lancashire, which has strengthened my knowledge and application towards research. Apart from my clinical practice, I enjoy teaching and training speciality registrars and Otology Fellows in Nottingham. I actively participate in teaching medical students in Nottingham University.

Specialist clinical interests: Diseases of ear Tonsillectomy and Adenotonsillectomy in children and adults Hearing disorder Tinnitus Vertigo, balance organ disorder Ear wax removal Vestibular schwannoma (acoustic neuroma) Some of my specialties include ear surgery for treating ear infections and hearing rehabilitation such as grommet insertion for glue ear and eustachian tube dysfunction, repair of ear drum perforation, hearing bone reconstruction surgery, mastoidectomy and stapedotomy. I am a core surgical member of the Nottingham Auditory Implant programme and perform hearing implant surgeries (Cochlear implant, middle ear implant, bone conducting hearing implants, bone-bridge). I am also a core member of the skull base multidisciplinary team in QMC, Nottingham and see patients with tumours involving inner ear - such as vestibular schwannoma, endolymphatic sac tumour, meningioma, glomus tumours and skull base paraganglioma. I also provide advise on management of tinnitus, dizziness, vertigo and problems with balance related to inner ear - such as BPPV, Meniere's disease, vestibular migraine, PPPD and superior semicircular canal dehiscence. My other areas of interest include management of recurrent tonsillitis and obstructive sleep apnoea in children with adenotonsillectomy with coblation.
