Miss Anca Breahna is a well established Consultant Plastic Surgeon based in Chester, specialising in the field of Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery. One of the very few female Plastic Surgeons in her region, she is able to offer that unique female perspective, with empathy, attention to detail and personalised care.Miss Breahna’s surgical training has been largely undertaken within the United Kingdom. She began a rigorous training programme in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1999, after achieving her medical degree from the University of Bucharest. Miss Breahna attained her PhD degree at the same university in 2007 for her medical research in microsurgical free tissue transfer. She then relocated to the U.K to further extend her qualifications and training. Miss Breahna has completed Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic fellowships in International Centres of Excellence at St. Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns in Chelmsford, Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead, Royal Free Hospital in London and John Hunter Hospital in Australia.Her extensive training has been awarded with the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS Plast), the Fellowship European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (FEBOPRAS), the Post Graduate Diploma for Hand Surgery at the BSSH (British Society for Surgery of the Hand) and a Master of Science Degree at the University of Manchester and she is on the GMC Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.First appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon in 2016 at the world renowned Pulvertaft Hand Centre, Miss Breahna has the honour of being one of just a handful of Plastic Surgeons in the United Kingdom to hold both British and European Diplomas in Hand Surgery, as well as the BSSH MSc in Hand Surgery. Miss Breahna is currently a Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at the Countess of Chester NHS Foundation Trust, a post she has held since 2018, and also holds practicing privileges at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital in Chester and Spire Murrayfield Hospital in Wirral. Whilst her NHS practice is focused around Breast Reconstructive Surgery (after Breast Cancer treatment or congenital asymmetries), Skin Cancer Surgery, Hand Surgery and reconstruction of soft tissue defects post injury, Miss Breahna was drawn to Aesthetic Surgery due to its unique challenges and opportunities. Throughout her pursuit of further training and education, Miss Breahna has developed a special interest and expert practical knowledge in the following fields: Breast Augmentation, Uplift, Reduction and Reconstruction, Abdominoplasty, Body Contouring and Liposuction, Male Breast removal, Labiaplasty, Non-surgical facial Rejuvenation, Skin Cancer Treatment and Hand Surgery.
