Mr Michael Tilston

Having qualified from Barts in 1980 I undertook most of my surgical training in the West Midlands and was appointed a Consultant General Surgeon in Grimsby. I developed a special interest in Laparoscopic Surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of Reflux disease and Oesophagogastric cancer. I undertook well over 300 resections for these but decided to concentrate on other aspr cts of Upper GI surgery, like the treatment of Barretts oesophagus, gallstone disease and swallowing problems. I retired from Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust in 2023 and now work part time in St Hughs hospital,mainly concentrating on Gallstone disease and abdomenal hernias,but also the diagnosis and management of swallowing disorders.
