I graduated from the University of Southampton School of Medicine. Following completion of my specialist training in diabetes, endocrinology and general internal medicine in Wessex, I have worked as a Consultant in Diabetes and General Medicine since 2008. Key achievements: 2008 - Developed the trustwide Inpatient Diabetes Service at University Hospital Southampton 2015 Presented with the Quality in Care Diabetes 'Outstanding Educator in Diabetes' award 2016 Co-developed a smartphone application (Microguide 'DiAppbetes') to provide diabetes guidance to help healthcare professions. Co-created 'type 1:' a series of comics about type 1 diabetes. 2017 Made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians to reflect my contribution to diabetes care. In 201
