Hello, I’m a specialist paediatric general surgeon with a special interest in paediatric urology. This means that I regularly see newborn babies and children with congenital and acquired conditions such as hernia, undescended testis, foreskin problems, bedwetting (enuresis), urinary tract infection, kidney and bladder problems. I also see children with other problems and if I think any of these would be better managed by a colleague I am in an excellent position to make an appropriate recommendation. I qualified in medicine and surgery from the Middlesex Hospital, University of London and trained in adult surgery in London, Leicester and Liverpool before specialising in Paediatric Surgery at the Royal Liverpool Children’s Hospital, Alder Hey. I continued my training in Paediatric Surgery, exclusively treating children, at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne, Australia, Leeds General Infirmary and St James’s University Hospital and the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle upon Tyne before being appointed as Consultant in Paediatric Surgery and Paediatric Urology to Cambridge University Hospital at Addenbrookes in 1995. I therefore have extensive knowledge and experience of children and their problems. I also have a private practice based at the Nuffield Hospital, Cambridge, in addition to which I have admitting privileges at The Portland Hospital, London.
