Dr Martin Gray

Dr Martin Gray is a consultant paediatrician and paediatric intensivist, and co-founder and Director of Bright Futures Health, a private paediatric practice in London. Bright Futures Health offers general paediatric outpatient care alongside preventative well-child checks, with the aim of reducing late diagnosis of serious illness and chronic conditions in children. Dr Gray brings to this practice more than thirty years of experience caring for seriously ill children in the UK and abroad. He has a particular interest in children with cancer and neurological conditions. At St George's Hospital (2006–17), he led a team of eight consultant paediatric intensivists, and during that time, the unit's activity, quality of care, and outcomes improved. From 2017 to 2026, he was Clinical Lead for Paediatric High Dependency at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, covering high dependency and general paediatrics. He was instrumental in developing the service now known as West London Children's Healthcare, with colleagues at Imperial College Healthcare and the Royal Brompton. In private practice, Dr Gray worked for many years with the Paediatric Intensivist Group, providing paediatric critical care at The Harley Street Clinic and The Portland Hospital, both part of HCA Healthcare UK. This work focused on children with complex conditions, including cancer and neurosurgical conditions such as brain tumours. He was Clinical Governance Lead at The Harley Street Clinic for several years. Dr Gray has also worked with the Healthy London Partnership and NHS England (London) through the Paediatric Critical Care Forum to improve critical care services for families across the capital. He sits on the board of the North Thames Paediatric Operational Delivery Network.
