I specialise in the treatment of hip and knee problems and have a particular interest in the treatment of the young adult hip and tissue sparing hip arthroplasty. I qualified in 2004 from the Royal Free & University College London Medical School with degrees in Medicine and Medical Engineering. After completing my basic surgical training, teaching anatomy at Guys, Kings & St Thomas’s Medical School and becoming a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2007, I succeeded in joining the Percival Pott orthopaedic specialist training program in 2008. Over six years I trained at the Royal London Major Trauma Centre, Barts, Great Ormond Street, Norfolk & Norwich, Whittington, Queens Square, Broomfield and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospitals. After becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma & Orthopaedics in 2014, achieving my Completion of Consultant Training Certificate and successfully joining the GMC Specialist Register (Trauma & Orthopaedics) in 2015, I undertook an additional two years of subspecialty fellowship training. This took me to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia for a year where I specialised in complex lower limb and pelvic trauma, complex revision arthroplasty and hip preservation surgery. I was a clinical lecturer at the University of Adelaide Medical School and participated heavily in trauma and orthopaedic research. I then returned to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore for a year long fellowship in Young Adult & Adolescent hip surgery specialising in custom implants, pelvic and femoral osteotomies and hip arthroscopy. During this time I took the USMLE and completed my Masters in Trauma Sciences earning a distinction. I have written chapters in books, publish papers and present internationally. I have also won prizes and grants for research and innervation. I have been a full time NHS consultant Epsom & St Helier Hospitals (GESH) and SWLEOC for ten years where I am also Director of Surgery and Planned Care Directorate Clinical Lead for Quality and Safety.
