Mr Mark Roussot is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon specialising in knee-related conditions, dedicated to providing patient-centred care. With a strong belief in honesty, integrity, and collaboration, he works closely with a network of healthcare professionals and knee rehabilitation specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes, utilising non-surgical strategies where feasible, and advanced surgical techniques when necessary. He provides expert care to both adults and younger patients, taking a collaborative approach to treating knee injuries in adolescents to ensure the best possible outcomes. Mr Roussot completed specialist training in 2017, earning two master’s degrees in Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics before gaining fellowship and consultant experience at University College London Hospital, where he was part of a pioneering team advancing robotic surgical techniques and treating both elite and recreational athletes. He contributes to textbook chapters and international journal articles on advanced surgical techniques, knee reconstruction, and robotics and AI. Beyond clinical practice, he serves on The Bone & Joint Journal Education Committee and lead Audit and Quality Improvement at Queen Alexandra Hospital, where he also runs the Acute Knee Clinic alongside fellow knee surgeons and therapists. He has played a key role in designing and implementing junior doctor teaching programs and am committed to fostering inclusive surgical environments by championing the elimination of unconscious bias. Having competed in martial arts, rugby, and ultra-distance triathlons, Mr Roussot understands firsthand the importance of physical well-being for both individuals and teams. He believes in a team-based approach to patient care and takes great pride in working collaboratively to support each patient on their journey toward achieving their physical goals. Mr Roussot has specialist interest and expertise in treating sports injuries, knee arthroscopy, meniscus repair, ACL reconstruction, PCL and multiligament knee injuries, cartilage repair, joint preservation and osteotomies.
