Consultant in Sheffield since 1998; developed Sheffield Small Bowel and Capsule Endoscopy Services which have received awards from BSG SAGE, Medipex, British Medical Journal, Health Services Journal, British Medical Association (Dawkins and Strutt). Previous member of British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) Small Bowel and Nutrition and BSG Endoscopy Committees, national Quality Improvement Lead for Small Bowel Endoscopy. Awarded Hopkins Endoscopy Prize by the BSG in 2017. Over 150 peer-reviewed publications including book chapters and editor of the Handbook of Capsule Endoscopy (Springer). Research in non-invasive imaging of the gastrointestinal tract using capsule endoscopy. Honorary Professor at the University of Sheffield.
