I qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1993. I undertook my basic surgical training in South Wales and gained my FRCS in 1997 I then spent two years undertaking research at the University of Nottingham gaining a Doctorate of Medicine My higher surgical training was undertaken in the North of England. I joined the Specialist register in 2004 as a General surgeon. I was appointed as a General Surgeon with a specialist interest in Upper Gastrointestinal surgery to the now Hywel Dda University Health Board in 2006. I am currently the Health Board Deputy Medical Director. My private practice focuses on hernia and gallbladder surgery
