I completed my education at Copernicus College (English language stream) in 1976. 1982 saw my graduation at Warsaw Medical University, followed by internship and attachment to Hospital for Injured Children where I stayed and specialized for the next 7 years. I entered UK training system in 1989 and continued working mainly in Kent then Wales hospitals with rotation back to South East Kent in 1995. I received my certificate of training completion in 1997. Between 2002 and 2014, I worked at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon focusing on primary major joint replacement and upper limb surgery. I subsequently secured a consultant post at Emersons Green Hospital in Bristol where I continue working till this day.
