Dr Marcus Pittman

Dr. Marcus Pittman is a highly experienced Consultant Physician specialising in Respiratory, Sleep and General Medicine, with over two decades of expertise. After graduating from Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in the UK, Dr. Pittman completed his postgraduate training in London and the East of England, including three years as a Research Fellow in Cambridge. Since 2014, he has been practising as a Consultant, working at Spire Wellesley Hospital in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, The One Clinic in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, and the renowned King’s College Hospital, where he serves as Co-Lead for Clinical Governance. Dr. Pittman has accumulated vast experience, successfully treating thousands of patients. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Pittman is an active educator and researcher. He teaches medical students at King’s College London and supervises doctors in postgraduate training. His leadership training at Keele University, along with his experience in roles such as Clinical Lead and Clinical Director, underscore his expertise. He has received accolades for his contributions to medicine, including a "Top Teacher" award in 2016 and a commendation at the British Medical Journal awards in 2019.

Dr. Pittman’s specialties include treating problems such as snoring, excessive sleepiness, insomnia, chronic cough, breathlessness, wheeze, and recurrent chest infections; as well as conditions such as sleep apnoea, asthma, and COPD. He performs and interprets a variety of diagnostic and monitoring tests, including home sleep monitoring and lung function assessments.
