Marc is a specialist with expertise in abdominal and pelvic pain, bloating, constipation (difficulties emptying the bowel), bowel leakage (incontinence) and bleeding from the back passage. With over 25 years of experience, he has the knowledge and experience to tackle even the most complex cases. He is highly qualified and a leading expert in his field. He received his degree in Medicine from King’s College and set out on his journey to better understand how the bowel and pelvic floor work and how and why things go wrong with extensive training in gynaecology, urology and colorectal surgery in London and Sydney. After 15 years of living and working in Australia, he has returned to London and where it all began at Kings College Hospital as a Consultant Colorectal and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgeon ? He is recognised as an international expert for his pioneering research to better understand and treat these conditions that he has published in leading medical journals (see below). He is also a passionate educator and is known for the award-winning textbooks he has written (see below) and the resources that he has delivered to colleagues and sufferers. ? But to his patients, he is simply known as “The Bowel Doctor”.
