Ms Manju Chandran

I am a Consultant Ophthalmologist working at Frimley Park Hospital with over 25 years of experience in the field of Ophthalmology. My specialist interests include Medical Retina conditions such as Age-related Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, and Retinal Vein Occlusions, as well as high-volume and complex cataract surgery. As the Clinical Lead for the service, I have played a pivotal role in establishing the High-Volume Cataract Surgery Hub at Heatherwood Hospital. In addition, I serve as the Regional Clinical Lead for the South East, where I have been instrumental in driving the digital transformation of the cataract surgery pathway across the region. I am actively involved in clinical research and have served as both Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator for multiple clinical trials. My research contributions include several publications in peer-reviewed journals within the field of Medical Retina. I am also a recognised expert in my specialty and have had the privilege of presenting at numerous national and international conferences
