Mr Shakokani completed his specialist orthopaedic training on the Cambridge rotation, he then undertook one of the country’s highest-volume complex revision hip fellowships at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. He was trained in all aspects of standard and complex primary and revision hip replacements including custom and 3D printed implants. He also augmented his training with multiple visits to various centres of excellence in the UK and Europe such as the Endo Klinik in Germany. In addition to his clinical work Mr Shakokani has maintained a strong academic interest, he has been involved as a principal investigator in multiple national trials, published many manuscripts, abstracts, book chapters, and has given presentations at national and international conferences. He is currently a reviewer for the Bone and Joint Journal.
