Dr Maja Uherek

Dr Maja Uherek's journey in medicine began in the city of Gdansk, Poland, where she earned her medical degree from the esteemed Medical Academy in Gdansk. Driven by her passion for oncology, she made the pivotal decision to relocate to England in 2008 to pursue her dream of becoming a Clinical Oncologist. She completed her Clinical Oncology Training in the Wessex Deanery in 2017. She works as a Clinical Oncology Consultant at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. She treats patients at GenesisCare Havant and Cromwell, and Spire Portsmouth. Beyond conventional medical interventions, Dr Uherek believes in a holistic approach to patient care. She emphacizes the importance of overall well-being and advocates for incorporating complementary practices into treatment plans. This includes providing patients with access to information on exercise medicine, diet and well-being programs, ensuring a comprehensive and personalized approach to healing.
