Dr Luis Idrovo Freire

I am a Consultant Neurologist at Spire Leeds Hospital, Spire Methley Park Hospital and Spire Harrogate Clinic. I have been working in Leeds Neurosciences since 2014 as a Consultant Neurologist with interests in Stroke and Headache disorders. I currently provide inpatient and outpatient work including general neurology and specialised headache/injection clinics. I am actively involved in acute neurology, participating in stroke and headache NIHR and commercial clinical trials. I am particularly active in teaching medical students and trainee doctors including FY, CT and registrars. I have also been appointed to participate regularly on lecturing the medical students from the University of Leeds. In 2022, I had the opportunity to attend King's College in London as an honorary neurologist, collaborating with the Headache Group (Prof P Goadsby) in complex headache and orofacial pain clinics and research. I previously completed a specialised neurology and stroke training programme at La Paz University Hospital in Madrid in 2009, a postgraduate diploma at Autonoma University of Madrid, Spain, as well as a neurosonology degree in 2012 in Budapest, Hungary. I completed my medical doctorate degree in 2003 at the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil in Ecuador. I offered treatments and services for the following; anti CGRP treatments, biological therapies, blackouts, Botulinum toxin for headaches and facial pain, Epilepsy, facial pain, memory problems, nerve blocks, Neuropathy, Stroke / TIA, tremors, Trigeminal neuralgia.
