Dr Leila Frodsham

Leila Frodsham is a Consultant Gynaecologist and Leads the Psychosexual Clinic at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (since 2013) but has been a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Kent from 2009-2016. She was a Research Fellow in the Assisted Conception Unit in Chelsea and Westminster Hospital from 2001-2004 where she established the fertility treatment of women with viral disease. She performed research into ‘mother to embryo viral transmission risk’ for which she was awarded the Promising Young Clinician Award, ESHRE, Berlin 2004. She has worked as an NHS Lead Consultant for Early Pregnancy for 6 years and has over 10 years as an Ambulatory Gynaecologist offering scans and outpatient surgical procedures. She is widely published in Psychosexual Medicine and Tocophobia-fear of childbirth. Her expertise lies with conditions such as Vulvodynia and Subfertility that can be difficult to treat with conventional medicine. She is also a BMS Specialist in Menopause and has a particular interest in sexuality in menopause and menopause care for people affected by Cancer. She can see both women and men with sexual difficulties
