I qualified from St Bartholomew's Medical School, London in 1995. I trained in Luton, London and Uganda before starting my specialist training in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine in London which I completed in 2009. Since then I have worked as a Consultant in Infectious Diseases and Acute Medicine at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust including Northwick Park, Central Middlesex and Ealing Hospitals in one of the largest Infectious Diseases units in the UK of which I am Clinical Director. My research interests include HIV, Tuberculosis and rapid diagnostic tests for new and important infections eg COVID about which I have multiple publications..

I have a broad interest in Infectious Diseases including fevers (or CRP) of unknown origin, common tissue-based infections including cellulitis and urinary tract infections, IV antibiotics (as a day case or at home), tropical infections including fevers in returning travelers, Tuberculous, viral hepatitis and immunosuppression conditions including HIV.
