Ms Laila Cunin

Ms Laila Cunin graduated from Imperial College London in 2011 her current NHS practice at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH)- Kings College Hospital. She is specialised Colorectal Consultant Surgeon actively involved in Clinical colonic research as a principal investigator at her site for National studies and has published in peer reviewed journals herself.  She has recently been appointed as a Primary Care Liaison for PRUH and South sites where she aims to facilitate better patient care between Primary care (GPs) and Secondary care (the hospital). Her Higher Surgical training was in the South East of England, following this she completed a Fellowship at University Hospital College London where she focussed on surgery for Inflammatory Bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns disease) and Abdominal Wall Reconstruction for Complex Incisional Hernias of the Abdominal Wall.  She has a keen interest in Benign Proctology (problems of the anus and surrounding skin) managing anal fistulae and haemorrhoids and anal pain. She is actively involved at the Royal College of Surgeons of England and has completed The Emerging Leaders Fellowship and is faculty on Basic Surgical Skills training and Advanced Trauma and Life Support training courses.
