This information is provided by Dr Kuven Moodley.
Dr Kuven Moodley is a Consultant Neurologist at St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and in private practice in central and south-west London. He has been a substantive NHS consultant at St George’s since 2016, where he has led the development of the Trust’s Acute Neurology Service and contributed to neurological service development, clinical governance, and postgraduate medical education. He trained in medicine at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa before moving to London, where he subsequently completed specialist training in Neurology. He holds a Doctor of Medicine research degree and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians. Dr Moodley sees adults with a broad range of neurological symptoms and conditions. His clinical approach emphasises careful diagnostic assessment, clear explanation of symptoms and investigation results, and a practical, individualised management plan. Alongside general and acute neurology, he has particular expertise in cognitive neurology and disorders of cerebrospinal fluid pressure and circulation. He regularly assesses patients with memory and cognitive symptoms, mild cognitive impairment and dementia, as well as patients with intracranial hypotension, hydrocephalus, pressure-related headache and complex gait disorders. He also manages headache disorders, dizziness and balance problems, sensory symptoms, weakness, peripheral nerve and muscle disorders, movement disorders, neuroinflammatory conditions and neurological complications following stroke or acquired brain injury. Dedicated cognitive and dementia consultations are longer appointments and therefore attract a different fee from standard general neurology consultations.
