Miss Kimia Ziahosseini

Miss Ziahosseini is a highly experienced consultant ophthalmologist, oculoplastic and face surgeon based in Norwich since 2016. Her areas of expertise include eyelid surgery, eyelid and face cancer removal and reconstruction, cosmetic eyelid surgery (eyelid bags), brow lift, mid face lift, eyelid chalazion, lumps and bumps, watery eye, facial paralysis, blepharospasm, thyroid eye disease, orbital decompression, orbital tumours, orbital fracture repair, squint surgery, dry eyes, blepharitis and general ophthalmology.   Kimia has an extensive experience in cosmetic surgery of upper and lower eyelids and midface with outstanding results. She is one of the few surgeons who has been certified in cosmetic surgery under the Cosmetic Surgery Board Certification Scheme by the Intercollegiate Cosmetic Surgery Board.   Kimia trained extensively in ophthalmology in Liverpool, Manchester and London. Following this, she obtained a fellowship in oculoplastic and orbital surgery in Liverpool and East Grinstead and undertook further training in Los Angeles and Vancouver. She also completed advanced training in ocular motility and neuro-ophthalmology that complements her practice. She is now a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a member of the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society and American Academy of Ophthalmology.   Throughout her consultancy career, Kimia routinely performs more than 400 eye procedures every year. Her background and expertise set her apart from general plastic and cosmetic surgeons, believing that eyes are the most important feature of the face so only an oculoplastic surgeon who has extensive knowledge of this area should perform surgery on it. She routinely performs endoscopic endonasal DCR (scar-less surgery for watery eye) and orbital surgery for fractures and thyroid eye disease rehabilitation. She will provide you with an honest and valued opinion whether you are seeking an aesthetic or functional improvement of your eyes and face.   Kimia is also a qualified medico-legal expert witness, having received the Bond Solon training certificate from Cardiff University.
