Dr Khaled Mallek

Dr Khaled Mallek is an esteemed consultant interventional and general cardiologist. He is highly regarded in all aspects of general cardiology, including the management of chest pain, hypertension, shortness of breath, palpitations, and high cholesterol. He specialises in complex coronary interventions and chronic total occlusions.    Dr Mallek completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology training at St Thomas’ Hospital, King’s College Hospital, and St George’s Hospital. He also completed an interventional cardiology fellowship at the Freeman Hospital, Newcastle.    Dr Mallek has multiple peer-reviewed publications in prestigious journals, primarily focusing on cardiovascular interventions. He has also delivered presentations at UK and international cardiology meetings.     Dr Mallek has extensive experience in coronary procedures, including coronary angiography, intracoronary imaging using IVUS and OCT, and coronary physiology. He is an expert in performing coronary angioplasty, including complex coronary intervention, rotational atherectomy, and shockwave therapy. His special interest is in chronic total occlusions.
