I have been a consultant surgeon for over 15 years with a busy NHS practise in general surgery and kidney transplant surgery. This has been based in Portsmouth with the majority of my life as a trainee surgeon being in the East Midlands. I have developed an interest in laparoscopic groin hernia surgery in particular although undertake all forms of abdominal hernia surgery. As a keen triathlete and having been involved in sport all of my life I am also able to offer a sympathetic ear to like minded individuals who want to continue to exercise effectively, despite needing surgery. Rest is not always the answer!

Benign upper GI surgery including gall stone surgery and all forms of abdominal wall hernias (umbilical, paraumbilical, inguinal, incisional, epigastric etc.) Minor surgery to remove "lumps and bumps" on the torso.
