Mrs Katya Tambe

Mrs Tambe has been a consultant at the Nottingham University Hospitals since 2010 following a year-long prestigious Fellowship at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Oculoplastics and cataract surgery have inspired and fascinated her ever since her ophthalmology training days at the Birmingham and Midlands eye Centre, where she undertook her core training. In Katya's endeavour to give the best possible treatment to patients, she also undertook Fellowships at Leicester, The Birmingham Children’s Hospital and overseas in Toronto and Philadelphia and most recently she attended a hands on aesthetic course at UCLA, Los Angeles in 2019, a centre for excellence in cosmetic surgery. Her clinical interests are in the management of patients with: Eyelid conditions like ptosis, entropion, ectropion, dermatochalasis - requiring blepharoplasty; Periocular skin tumours and Cataracts Her cosmetic surgery specialisation includes, removal of excess skin and fat from the upper or lower eyelids (blepharoplasty), adjustment of upper lid height and appearance as well as removal of periocular skin lesions. She specialises in personalised aesthetic surgery with a focus on natural outcomes with minimal surgical intervention.
