Ms Katherine Williams

Katherine Williams MA(Cantab) PhD MBBS FRCS I am a substantive consultant General Surgeon, employed at Frimley Health NHS Trust since 2023.  I have special interests in complex proctology, inflammatory bowel disease, bowel cancer, pilonidal disease, and abdominal wall reconstruction. With my colleagues, we run a busy emergency surgery practice, treating life threatening conditions. I perform and train in colonoscopy and polypectomy.  I read Medical Science at Cambridge University, completing clinical training at Guy's, Kings and St Thomas. I trained in London and East Sussex, before completing my PhD in Surgery and Cancer from Imperial College London. This was followed by further clinical training in South West London, followed by entry into the Specialist Register.  I was appointed as a locum Consultant Surgeon at St Marks Hospital, London North West NHS Trust, where I learnt and worked beside leaders in the field of colorectal surgery.

Inflammatory bowel disease, including surgery for Crohns disease, and ileoanal pouch formation. Inguinal, paraumbilical and epigastric hernia repair. Complex abdominal wall hernia repair.
