Mr Kasra Saeb-Parsy

Kasra Saeb-Parsy is a Consultant Urological Surgeon who moved to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge in 2016. He qualified from University of London in 1999 and embarked on his surgical training at the prestigious Hammersmith Hospital. Following completion of his surgical training, he spent the next 10 years conducting basic science and clinical research, in addition to completing his higher surgical training in Urology at the world renowned Cambridge University Hospitals. He was previously a consultant at Royal Free Hospital in London where he introduced HoLEP surgery to the trust and was the clinical lead for Prostate cancer diagnosis. He subsequently moved back to Cambridge in 2016. His main interests are renal stone disease including Laser treatment. He also has a special interest in Laser treatment of prostate enlargement (HoLEP) as well as Prostate diagnostic including use of MRI in the investigation of elevated PSA. He sees patients with all aspects of general urology chronic prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain. He was the first surgeon to perform REZUM (water steam treatment for benign enlargement of prostate) in Cambridgeshire. Mr. Saeb-Parsy has a keen interest on research and education. He organizes course on Laser management of stone disease and MRI of the prostate and biopsy and Emergency Urology. He has presented his research nationally and internationally and has been faculty on many international conferences. He is an Associate Fellow of Higher Education Academy. He is the chief investigator (multi-centred trial) for a novel non-invasive biomarker for diagnosis and follow-up of bladder cancer (ABSEIL study).
