Mr Kashif Qureshi

I graduated from United Medical and Dental Schools of Guys and St Thomas’s Hospitals, London in 1999. I then worked as an Ophthalmologist for 13 years and became a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. I have undertaken sub-speciality fellowship training in diseases of the retina in the North West, at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and then at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. I also undertook a part time fellowship in Revalidation at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) and now lead revalidation for the RCOphth, as part of the professional standards committee. Since being appointed consultant ophthalmologist, I have become clinical lead for Ophthalmology in East Sussex Health NHS Trust, ICS speciality lead for Ophthalmology in Sussex. 

I am a specialist in disorders of the retina, treating diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration and retinal vascular disorders. I also specialise in cataract surgery. I am one of the few consultants who are experienced in treating floaters with laser vitreolysis. I also manage general ophthalmology conditions, such as glaucoma.
