I am a General Orthopaedic Surgeon employed by the Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I am privately based at Nuffield Health Derby Hospital and Derby Private Health. Clinically, I am a traditional General Orthopaedic Surgeon, with an interest in hip and knee replacements, knee arthroscopies and foot and ankle surgery. All the prosthesis I am trained to use are those that are tried and tested and have an excellent success rate as demonstrated following the publication of my outstanding National Joint Registry Results (NJR). Following the M1 Kegworth air crash on the 8 January 1989, I collated clinical material and documented the injuries sustained by the victims. I contributed to the development of the 'Crash Brace position' currently used by the aircraft industry.
