Dr Jeremy Taylor qualified from St Bartholomew’s and Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry in 1998. He completed his basic surgical training at Royal Surrey County Hospital and MRCS examinations in 2002. He subsequently obtained and completed his Specialist Registrar training in Clinical Radiology in 2007. His SW Thames Radiology rotation included experience at the St Geroge’s Hospital, Atkinson and Morely Neurosurgical Unit, Royal Marsden Hospital and Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. During which time he underwent Focussed Individualised Interventional Radiology training at King’s College Hospital London. After obtaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologist he successfully completed an Interventional Fellowship at St George’s Hospital and was awarded the Ratcliff Interventional Oncology Fellowship at UCH, London. In 2010 he obtained Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Consultant post at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which has recently been rated the second best healthcare trust in the country. Frimley Park Hospital is the regional Interventional Radiology unit with supporting spoke hospitals of Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospitals, Heatherwood and Wexham and Royal Surrey County Hospital. He works closely with the Urology Department to offer all types of diagnostic examinations including plain film, ultrasound, CT and MRI. He performs the full array of uro-interventional procedures including testicular vein embolization for varicocele, renal biopsy, renal embolization for renal tumours, ureteric stenting for ureteric obstruction and percutaneous nephrolithotomy for renal stone disease. Using the experience gained from the Ratcliff Interventional Oncology Fellowship he has developed a radio-frequency ablation service for the minimally invasive treatment of renal tumours and metastatic disease. Recently he has been part of the regional and national development of prostatic artery embolization for the minimally invasive day case treatment of prostatic enlargement performed under local anaesthesia. He regularly contributes to national registries including the British Assoc of Urological Surgeons PCNL registry and is one of eight UK centres to be part of the ROPE registry for prostatic artery embolization. He is an active member of the British Society of Interventional Radiology, Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology Society of Europe and the recently established Regional Interventional Radiology On Call Network. He has published in the following peer reviewed international publications: Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology, Journal Vascular Surgery, European Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, British Journal of Urology and Journal of Endovascular Surgery. He is a National Specialist Advisor to NICE. He is Chair of the Education and Training Committee for the BSIR
