Mr Jeremy Rushbrook

Mr Rushbrook qualified from the University of Leeds in 2004 with Honours before training as a surgeon in Yorkshire.  He continued his education with a Masters Degree in Engineering alongside his orthopaedic specialist training.  He was appointed to arguably one of the most prestigious knee Fellowships and spent a year working alongside Dr Peter Myers in Australia, before taking up a consultant post at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.  His elective practice specialises solely in conditions of the knee, and he is the clinical lead for knee surgery at the Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust. Always keen to improve surgical practice for the benefit of patients, he was responsible for introducing robotic knee surgery to the NHS back in 2018, and is part of the Royal College of Surgeons steering group for robotics and digital technology.  He was also responsible for setting up the Major Revision Centre for knee surgery at Portsmouth to cover South East England. Alongside his clinical practice Mr Rushbrook holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at the University of Portsmouth, and is active in research and education, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and technology. Away from work he enjoys keeping fit and active with his family and young children.  He regularly runs marathon events and has enjoyed triathlon to Ironman distance.

Mr Rushbrook specialises entirely in surgery of the knee.  This encompasses arthroscopic surgery, ligament reconstruction and knee replacement and revision surgery.
