GMC reg: 6028992Dr Jeremy Cobbold is Consultant in Hepatology at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and Nuffield Health The Manor Hospital, Oxford. His professional focus is in providing the best clinical care to patients with diseases of the liver and related issues. He is service lead for Hepatology at Oxford University Hospital NHS Trust. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Cambridge and University College London in 2001 before undergoing postgraduate training in Internal medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He completed a PhD at Imperial College London in 2008 and is an author of over 70 research publications. He continues to run a program of clinical research in liver diseases including clinical trials in metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) and cirrhosis. He chairs the MASLD special interest group for the British Association for the Study of the Liver (BASL) and is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford, teaching, supervising and examining some of tomorrow's brightest medical graduates. Dr Cobbold regularly sees private patients at the Manor Hospital, and at the John Radcliffe Hospital by arrangement.

Dr Cobbold is a leading specialist in investigation and management of liver diseases with particular expertise in the non-invasive assessment of liver disease (including FibroScan) and in the management of MASLD (metabolic dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease), previously known as NAFLD.
