I have been an Oncoplastic and Reconstruction Breast Consultant at St Bartholomew's Hospital for 7 years, having undertaken my surgical training mainly in London after graduating from the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital. I also have a PhD in the treatment of Breast Cancer using a novel Oncolytic Virus. In early 2013, I was appointed to be the Lead Screening Surgeon for the Central and East London Breast Screening Service and, for the past 3 years, have been the Clinical Lead of the Breast Services at Barts. In my role as the Training Program Director in General Surgery for North and Central East London, I have participated actively in education and training.I have an established NHS Breast Oncoplastic and Reconstructive practice. I care for patients with early and advanced breast cancer and undertake all aspects of resectional and reconstructive breast surgery and work closely with Plastics Surgical colleagues on autologous free flaps reconstruction. I have a specialist interest in counselling and risk reducing surgery in patients with high risk patients for developing breast cancer and also revisional reconstructive breast surgery.
