Miss Jean McDonald

Miss  Jean McDonald is a Consultant Urological surgeon who was appointed to a Consultant  post at the North Middlesex University  Hospital in  1995. She has vast experience in treating a range of urological disorders. She is experienced in treating Ladies with  recurrent Urinary tract infections,  patients with Kidney stones and general urological disorders like Hydrocoele and circumcisions and benign prostate disorders (TURP) She has trained numerous trainees who are now Consultants. She travels regularly to SubSaharan Africa (Senegal) to train Urologists there  and to share her expertise. She has been on the Board of Directors of the Societe International d'Urology and is a member of the British Association of Urological surgeons, Member of the European Association of Urology, Member of the American Association of Urology. Member of the Society International d'Urologie She has received accolades from The Caribbean Urological Association and from Countries in Africa  for her work in training Caribbean Urologists and African Urologists She is a Trustee of St Luke's Healthcare which looks after the Church of England Clergy and their families. She has been just been awarded The BAUS Gold Medal in 2024 by The British Association of Urological Surgeons for her contribution to the development and advancement of British Urology as a corporate entity. The first woman to have received this award. She was named CLINICAL LEADER of the year at the National HEALTH SERVICE JOURNAL AWARDS in November 2024
