Various national roles as trainer, examiner, researcher, advocate and artist. Qualified ski instructor (ISIA), tennis coach (represented Oxford), national medalist at Archery. Over 100 publications.

I am a Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon, with a major practice in all types of hand and wrist surgery (except fractures of the wrist), as well as skin surgery, mole removal, and removal of lesions under the skin. I offer a range of other procedures, many of which are described on my website (www.jameshenderson.net) In the NHS I formerly led the hand surgery service at Southmead Hospital Major Trauma Centre for 10 years, and perform complex reconstructions and other procedures for hands and all other areas of the body. Please note that PHIN only records patients admitted to hospital. The vast majority of my patients (8-10/week) are daycase/outpatient procedures, so I actually do far more cases than are measured by PHIN (typically more than 350/year) .
