Dr James Barry

Having trained at Cambridge University and stayed to undertake junior doctor posts at Addenbrookes Hospital I then pursued my interest in Cardiology at Papworth and the Royal Brompton hospitals before undertaking Specialty training in the Severn Deanery centred on the Bristol Royal Infirmary. on completion of CCT in Cardiology I did a years fellowship at Southampton University before taking up my Consultant post at the Regional cardiac centre in Morriston Hospital Swansea. While in post I have overseen the development of the Cardiac rhythm Management service develop to a point where it is now the largest centre in Wales with a dedicated Arrhythmia Lab and pacing room.

I have an interest in all aspects of cardiac rhythm management including diagnosis, risk factor management, lifestyle advice and interventions including pacing and ablation.
