Mr Jaison Patel

Jaison exclusively specialises in knee conditions and treatments. Jaison has a busy NHS consultant practice at the prestigious Barts Health NHS Trust (The Royal London Hospital) where he runs a tertiary complex knee service and second opinion service and is also the complex Major Revision Knee Network Lead for North East London. Jaison is currently serving on the executive committee of the British Association for Surgery of the Knee (BASK), where he is responsible for helping to direct the future for knee surgery nationally. As a surgeon exclusively looking after knees, he is able to provide his patients with a wide range and the most up to date treatment options (both surgical and non-surgical). The conditions he treats range from sports injuries to knee arthritis. Jaison performs a high volume of ligament reconstructions and joint replacements (including partial knee replacements) on an annual basis and offers treatment for cartilage and meniscus disease. Jaison completed his undergraduate training at Barts and The London School of Medicine and higher surgical training on the esteemed Cambridge training programme. He completed his fellowship training at the world-renowned Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford and has visited international centres of excellence to ensure he is able to provide his patients with the latest and best treatments. Jaison is heavily involved in educating other surgeons and is faculty for a number of courses and frequently invited to speak at national and international conferences. Jaison is passionate about delivering high quality, personalised treatment, based on modern research and using the latest equipment. He prides himself on communicating clearly with his patients, ensuring they understand their diagnosis and all possible treatment options to get them back to where they want to be.
